Kathmandu – The government has further beefed up security along the Nepal-India border areas in view of gradual rise in the number of coronavirus infected people in neighbourng India. The government has mobilized the armed police force personnel for maintaining border security and preventing illegal activities and movement along the borders. The APF has fulfilled its responsibility by establishing temporary police posts, base camp, border outposts and duty posts in carrying out the designated responsibilities. Total 13 BOPs have been established in the 51-kilometer area of the district sharing border with India.
The APF has recently set up seven temporary BOPs among 51. The armed police force has strengthened its presence along the border areas especially following the Indo-Nepal border is sealed off in an attempt to prevent coronavirus outbreak. Also, the the APF personnel have been providing security on the bordering areas round the clock through 16 base camps, 82 duty post borders and 13 temporary posts.
